Zombie Invasion

The Zombie Invasion, which happens about every two weeks, is the best event for farming massive resources and comes with a great event shop. The event is so good that you should save your Stamina specifically for Zombie Invasion and spend it there. Regular Zombie Invaders already give much better rewards than comparable Elites and also have a chance to spawn Zombie Bosses, which carry even more. Bosses can only be attacked in rallies, but give huge rewards to the rally leader, all participants, and the discoverer. They’re tough to beat, though.

During the three-day event, new Gold Zombies are constantly generated. These appear on the map as small gold icons at level 10 and can be farmed reliably with little power. Use fast travel to jump between zombies. Bosses have larger icons and appear in steps of 5-50. Which boss level spawns is random, but depends on server and alliance progress. In the very first Zombie Invasion, only level 10 bosses will appear, but soon you’ll see level 25 and higher.

Besides regular rewards, all zombies also drop Valor Medals. These can be exchanged in the shop (via the event screen) for Drone Parts, Hero Recruitment Tickets, Survivor Recruitment Tickets, Speedups, Valor Badges, Drone Component Chests, and much more. An active player with enough should be able to clear out the shop. You can’t really go wrong—just buy what you need most. The only must-buy is the Stamina Packs, since they pay for themselves.

Whale Strategy

If you have teams that can reliably beat bosses, focus on them, since they give much more rewards for 20 than 2x10 Zombie Invaders. You can also help smaller alliance members get their discoverer rewards, which are huge and include 200+. Even though Zombie Invaders sometimes spawn bosses, it’s better to focus on bosses from others. Just make sure to communicate in your alliance and don’t steal bosses that others have found. That can cause drama.

If nothing’s happening in your alliance, you can search the map for bosses from other players. Look for bosses that have been around a while (timer starts at 04:00:00). If they’ve been up for a long time, it means the player or their alliance can’t beat them, and you can help everyone out.

New Player Strategy

As a newbie, focus on farming Zombie Invaders and join rallies against bosses whenever possible. Share your bosses in alliance chat so your teammates can help you beat them.

Code Boss

Code Bosses are a daily recurring event where you can attack three times with your teams for rewards. Team strength doesn’t matter. You can also unlock extra rewards for damage milestones and a server leaderboard. The best teams for the three bosses are shown here:

Rampage Bosses

On some Sundays, all three code bosses attack the Capitol instead of spawning somewhere on the map. As with the code bosses, you can attack them three times and the server must reach a certain amount of damage to receive rewards. The bosses unlock one after the other throughout the day.

The last boss is the most difficult to defeat because it arrives late in the day. However, it also has the most attractive rewards in the form of drone parts.

Similar to the code bosses, it is worthwhile to adapt your teams for the different bosses. Unlike the code bosses, however, you cannot test the damage beyond the three attempts. After three attacks, it's over.

Arms Race

Each day, you should unlock the three main chests. To do this, you need to complete rotating tasks every four hours to earn points. The calendar at the top right shows the daily rotation. Every four hours, there are three chests with a total of six Arms Race badges (1+2+3). Over the day, you can earn up to 36 badges. You need 18 for the three main chests. The easiest way is to max Drone Boost, Hero Progress, and Squad Progress daily to get the 18 badges.

Drone Boost

For Drone Boost, you need 300 to reach 30,000 points. The best way is to start with 120, buy 100 for 300, and grab the free 50. That’s 270. Either wait 2.5 hours for 30 to refill or use another boost if you have one.

Hero Progress

For heros, you need either 30 Hero Recruitments or 24M Hero XP for the required 12k points. Looking at VS, Hero XP is the better deal, since 30 Recruitments give more points in VS than 24M XP. Still, VS should be your priority, and in extreme cases, you might only unlock two chests in Arms Race to save more resources for Thursday.

Squad Progress

Squad progress scales well with your HQ level. As long as your Barracks are at similar levels, you should be able to reach the required points with one round of squad production, even if not all Barracks produce the highest level. If needed, use speedups to finish one batch and start another.

As a rule of thumb, always try to link Arms Race with VS on the right days to double up on rewards. On Thursday, for example, wait until 16:00 and then use all recruitments and Hero XP.

Warzone Duel

Warzone Duel is a multi-week event where warzones face off in a knockout system. Monday to Friday is a passive duel, where players earn points for their warzone through various activities. Players should try to win Arms Race, alliances their VS days and Desert Storm, and the whales of the server must get top damage/rank in Code Bosses and the APEX Arena.

Usually, the duels are one-sided, determined by the best player on each server, since points from Arena and Code Boss are almost impossible to catch up. A winner is usually decided upon early on.

Capitol Battle

On Saturday, the winning warzone can try to capture the enemy Capitol from 16:00 CET. There are four cannons around the Capitol and the Capitol itself to occupy. Usually, the top alliances agree on who focuses on which cannon and the Capitol. At the start, all alliances teleport into the mud and the fun begins.

The Capitol battle is also usually one-sided in favor of the stronger server. Still, all players should participate, since burning enemy bases earns points and unlocks chests with substantial rewards. The goal is to hunt smaller players. Troop losses in the Capitol battle are usually very high, since you’re constantly attacked and burned.

Since this event overlaps with the last day of VS, you can use free teleporting to keep jumping back into the mud and keep fighting. The alliance should also use the free teleport beforehand to position itself around the Capitol in a certain way. Passive players with shields block the mud edge, preventing enemies from having short paths into the mud. Active players position themselves behind and can teleport into the mud from there without giving up spots directly at the Capitol edge.

Skyfront

Skyfront is a recurring server vs. server event where two servers attack each other with a Sky Raider. The event has two phases and must be activated by the server president.

Donation

First, complete simple daily tasks to collect Airship Tokens. You can donate these at the Sky Raider Station to unlock small reward chests for yourself and the alliance. There’s also a chance to generate “scattered supplies” and special resource tiles for the alliance. This is random and announced in alliance chat. You can collect supplies with your Recon Planes and farm the resource tiles with your squads.

The donation phase eventually turns into a sprint phase, where the Sky Raider can be pushed up to level VIII. Try to generate and donate the max number of Airship Tokens every day.

Defense

In the second phase, the airships land on the enemy server and can be attacked there. Usually, it’s best to teleport directly to the landing point and attack from there. Otherwise, travel times can be long. As in the Alliance Drill, you can only start one rally yourself and should send the rest of your squads to other rallies if possible.

Hot Deals

Sometimes, Hot Deals also include events where you can grab some free rewards.

Glittering Market

In the Glittering Market, players can collect free Glitter Coins once per day for 500 and get a Hero Choice Chest.

This is an unbeatable deal! You can use the Choice Chest to unlock new heroes or upgrade existing ones. It should be noted that the chest rewards are fixed. The Choice Chests won't get updated to feature newer heros down the road.

Also worth buying are the two decorations only available in this event. The Tower of Victory is one of the best decorations in the game, and the Training Tire is also worth it for the price.

Free-to-play players should skip the other rewards, and even spenders should only buy them if needed. If you have too many Glitter Coins, the Luxury Selection Chest or mystical blueprints are the best choice.

Supply Drop

Sometimes, Hot Deals include a Supply Drop event. Here, you can collect a free Key daily and generate a drop. Over several iterations, even free-to-play players can collect enough Keys to open a chest.

It’s always worth using Diamonds at the end of the event to generate enough drops to reach 100 points and unlock the five Shards.

Bullseye Loot

The Bullseye Loot always appears in combination with the Ammo Bonanza. With the latter, you can earn ammo by completing simple daily tasks, which you can then use to “shoot” for rewards in the Bullseye Loot.

You can choose one main prize per round and then reveal squares in a 3x4 matrix. If you hit the main prize, you move on to a new round. You can repeat this until you run out of ammunition. There are additional progress rewards for hitting the main prizes multiple times.

As a rule, it is advisable to choose the Upgrade Ore as the main prize, but it depends heavily on what you currently need most.

However, the real incentive for Bullseye loot are the mystical blueprints. In fact, the event is one of the few opportunities to obtain these and upgrade equipment to five stars. To earn them, you have to shoot the jackpot 100 times in total. Mathematically, this requires about 700 rounds of ammo, which you either have to accumulate over many months or purchase with real money.

Whether you're a free-to-play player or not, you should try to save up the 700 ammo!

Frontline Breakthrough

Frontline Breakthrough is a recurring event where players must get as many squads as possible to the end of five missions. There’s usually one best approach for navigating the missions, and you can almost always find a YouTube video for it.

There are extra rewards for the rankings in your own warzone and worldwide, but these are extremely competitive and the rewards are modest. It’s usually better to just collect the rewards for the three easy runs. You don’t even have to finish the levels—just play three times.

The missions are fun and there’s a certain appeal to improving over many rounds.

Doomsday

On Doomsday, many more Doom Walkers than usual appear on the world map, and each player can collect up to three daily rewards for Doom Walkers. Normally, it’s just one. The whole server works toward goals, and you can collect extra rewards when they’re reached.

Every player should farm their three Doom Walkers that day, since server goals depend on as many people as possible participating. Other goals must be unlocked by the best players, since there’s also a reward for the first Doom Walkers of each level defeated in the warzone.

There’s also a damage leaderboard with extra rewards for listed players.
